WHAT

Shop Cocoon houses handpicked designers’ collections of undeniably unique, ethically-manufactured, quality clothing, accessories, jewelry and more. The low operating cost, no commission arrangement allows fashion designers to offer their individually-designed items at competitive prices. In deed, this is not a traditional retail space. No other store has Vancouver fashion designers so intimately involved with the retail environment.

WHY

Shop Cocoon is the only retail space in Vancouver offering startup local designers store space with premium profit potential. Built on the philosophy of giving labels their first "leg up" into the industry, Shop Cocoon rents racks, shelves, and wall space to designers and artists in an arrangement similar to a craft/trade show; the difference being that the store is conveniently open for business six days a week, all year around. As renters, designers keep 100% of their sales, gain first hand knowledge and feedback from real-life customers to help refine their product, and take advantage of the space to double as a showroom or front for their custom work business. As a collaboration of young designers and labels, Shop Cocoon fosters networking and cost-sharing opportunities for its members both in and out of the store environment.
